After posting the most popular recipes every year, I love to go back and look at all of my favorites that didn't make the cut. This year, the majority of these recipes are my very own and I'm so proud of them. Cooking and baking will always be therapeutic for me so I love looking back on what I've created!
Nutella Filled Ebelskivers with Fresh Strawberry Sauce -
After successfully making ebelskivers last year, I had to try some different variations. Nutella is one of my favorite toppings so I knew these would be good. Add some fresh strawberry sauce on top and this is one amazing treat!Mango Salsa -
One of the best grocery store finds I've ever found is canned mango. It has the best flavor and I love that I don't have to cut it up myself. This recipe is adapted from one I found on the can and it is so yummy. The best part is you can now have fresh tasting mango salsa all year long!
Slow Cooker Beef and Broccoli -
I love a good slow cooker recipe and this is one of my favs from this year! The beef gets so tender and it's cooked in the best sauce. Add some broccoli and serve it over rice and you have one heck of a meal!
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Crisp -
This came about when I wanted to make a unique Valentine's Day recipe. I mean, have you ever had a chocolate strawberry crisp?? The chocolate crisp topping is out of the world and goes so well with the fresh strawberries. You've got to try this!Pear, Feta and Candied Almond Salad with Honey Vinaigrette -
This salad is one of my favorites! It has all of my favorite salad toppings: fruit, candied nuts, cheese and a yummy vinaigrette. This has been made at a few events I've attended this year and everyone seems to love it!
Cherry Chocolate Chunk Almond Ice Cream -
This recipe was so much fun to create. Last summer I had an amaretto based ice cream in Boise and I really wanted to create something similar. I knew that cherry and chocolate would go with that yummy almond flavor and boy was I right!
Apple Pie Caramel Apple Cookies -
This is probably my favorite recipe of the year! I'm so happy with how it turned out. I'm a huge fan of the Apple Pie caramel apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and I had a fun idea to take those flavors and turn them into a cookie. The result was amazing and you have to try these cookies!
Slow Cooker Roast Beef Bites with Gravy -
Another yummy slow cooker meal that is pure comfort food! You get the roast beef and gravy drippings in one pot making it super easy to pair with some mashed potatoes. My whole family loves this one!
Muddy Buddy Bars -
Another recipe that has been a long time coming. I've wanted to make these for years and when I finally tried a recipe they were completely dry. I combined my scotcheroos recipe with the Muddy Buddy flavors and voila, these were born! Let's just say they're slightly addicting.
Caramel Pumpkin Cookies -
I love making pumpkin recipes every year and I thought I would add caramel bits to some pumpkin cookies. They ended up being the perfect chewy addition to these soft pumpkin cookies. Who knew caramel and pumpkin went so well together?
