My Favorite Recipes of 2020
There were so many fun recipes on the blog this year that it was hard to choose my favorites. While I wasn't able to post as many because of the craziness of 2020, I was still able to create some that I think EVERYONE would love. This is another good mix of recipes for all types of eaters!
Amazing Tomato-Gouda Galette - I am so proud of this recipe! Not only is it pretty, but it tastes AMAZING. Just like the name. The pie crust is unbelievably flaky and the gouda and garden tomatoes are perfect together. Also you have to use garden tomatoes. It makes all the difference!Chewy Caramel Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies - I still cannot get over these cookies. They have such a unique dough base and the gooey caramel just makes them incredible. There's cinnamon in the dough, which gives them that extra special touch, too.Small Batch Spiced Granola - I've always loved homemade granola so much more than store-bought, but the recipes I've tried always makes too much. Enter this small batch granola that makes the perfect amount for a few people. It's also perfectly spiced and I love it on greek yogurt with berries and drizzled with honey.Pan-Fried Chicken with Creamy Tomato-Basil Sauce - This is the most delicious chicken you will ever eat! It's perfectly breaded, pan-fried and topped with the most delectable tomato-basil sauce. It will only leave you wanting more!Cream Cheese Filled Ebelskivers with Fresh Raspberry Sauce - I am extra proud of recreating these ebelskivers I enjoyed last summer because while they were a little tricky, they tasted incredible! This recipe is a little time consuming but man, it's worth it!Harvest Salad with Apple Cider Vinaigrette - This was something I created when I wanted a salad that reminded me of fall. It has apples, bacon, candied almonds, feta cheese and the best apple cider vinaigrette. In my opinion, salads are best with lots of toppings!Giant Apple Cinnamon Toaster Strudel - This was another all-time favorite recipe! One recipe I looked at called this a slab pie, but it reminded me so much of a toaster strudel I had to name it that. The apple cinnamon filling is perfection along with that thick icing. I can't wait to make other versions!Slow Cooker Mississippi Pot Roast - I had seen this recipe floating around for years and I finally tried it. Turns out there's a reason it's so popular! It has the most unique ingredients, but the result is amazing. It's perfect on mashed potatoes, too!
Cinnamon Chip Pumpkin Snickerdoodles - I love anything pumpkin and these cookies were extra special! They were so soft and the cinnamon chips made them amazing. The cinnamon sugar coating didn't hurt either. Be sure to make these next fall!
Strawberry and Chocolate Galette - Last year, I wanted to make an extra special Valentine's dessert and this is what I came up with! It has a perfect strawberry filling, loaded with chocolate chunks in the yummiest pie crust. You can't beat a homemade galette!
