Margherita Pizza
Isn't this pizza pretty?? Those bright red and green colors are just calling my name! Pizza is always a good idea and this fresh margherita pizza makes for the perfect summer meal. Especially when you can use your own fresh tomatoes and basil from your garden!
This comes together in no time and the results are perfection!
And if you want a little extra flavor, be sure to drizzle on some balsamic glaze! It makes everything better.
Margherita Pizza
10 oz. grape tomatoes, halved
2 Tbsp. oil
1/2 Tbsp. garlic, minced
pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
1-2 cups marinara sauce
8 slices fresh mozzarella
5-6 fresh basil leaves
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
2. Stir together olive oil and garlic in a medium-sized bowl. Toss with tomatoes. Let marinade for 10 minutes.
3. Prepare pizza dough and spread into greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
4. Spread marinara sauce over pizza dough.
6. Top with fresh mozzarella and the marinated garlic tomatoes, draining the oil.
7. Bake pizza for 12-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Top with fresh basil leaves and serve warm.
